Insurance Providers Government or Independent


  • Proof of the practioners' current Builders Warranty Insurance policy. 
  • A copy of your surveyor or engineer's professional indemnity policy (PI) and current Certificate of Currency.
  • A copy of your surveyor or engineer's PUBLIC LIABILITY insurance (PL) current Certificate of Currency.
  • Check for forgeries and omissions.
  • Professional Indemnity insurance. (PI)

Ask your surveyor or engineer for a copy of their professional indemnity policy (PI) and current Certificate of Currency.

Ask your practitioner directly for proof of their current Builders Warranty Insurance policy.

The practitioner first must be eligible, then they can get a policy which is relevant to your address.

This is called BWI in Victoria. Ask for a current copy of the Certificate of Currency which must relate to your address. These have been known to be forged.

You want Certificate of Currency for all policies for all practitioners. NO EXCEPTIONS
