Residential building consumers are a very large contributor both in volume and financial value to the Australian domestic economy. The Building Consumer Council aims to keep industry, and policymakers both state and federal focused on the consumer of the services and products – namely the family home.

With a national approach, the BCC becomes the collective of the residential building consumer policy regardless of what state they build or live in.

The brief is to change the landscape from not just meeting “regulatory and legislative compliance” to delivering a viable product that has been ordered and paid for by the consumer.
